Tues. Jan. 20, 2015: Draft Practice

Today, students were reminded that their answers to the questions about the play The Girl who Loved her Horses are now overdue. I will only accept them until the end of the day tomorrow as they need to be returned for study purposes.
Students were then given a copy of a "Draft" to read and answer multiple choice questions about. This is to give them practice with the first reading activity on their upcoming exam.
I also reminded them that their point-form cheat sheet and dictionary are due by the end of the day tomorrow. Keep in mind that I will only accept point form. See me if you have any questions.

Tues. Jan. 13, 2015: Drama Reading "The Boy..."

Today, we discussed semicolon usage. We then continued reading the play The Girl who Loved Her Horses. There was some focus on cliches, allusions, and euphemism as well as discussion about highlighting STEAL information (characterisation) to make it easier to answer the questions you have been given. It might also be wise to answer the questions daily, adding to the answers as we go. We got to page 107,  finishing in the first column after Danielle enters the house and Shelley comments positively on her name.
Be sure to keep up on the readings.
